
In the period from 1 to 6 May 2025, a training for youth workers on the topic "Corruption in Business" was held in Veles, Macedonia. The event was organized by the Institute for Applied Business Research, and as part of the Erasmus+ project "With Digitalization Against Corruption".
Within the framework of this five-day training, the capacities of 25 youth workers from 12 European countries were strengthened in terms of the importance of the rule of law, recognition of corruption and knowledge of tools and strategies for dealing with it. Within the framework of this training course, various activities and workshops were organized, including an eco-camp to strengthen awareness of personal and business integrity.
The training was finalized with a conference at which the conclusions of the training were summarized as corruption is primarily a matter of awareness and morality and that today the fight against corruption is more important than ever, because it affects the entire society. The conference featured a presentation by Mr. Mile Boškov (President of the Business Confederation of Macedonia) who spoke about the corporate social responsibility (CSR) and lobbying as key aspects for preventing corruption in business. Presentations were also given by Prof. Dr. Zoran Filipovski, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Vision International University, who spoke about the impact of corruption on migration, and Mr. Zlatko Edelinski, one of the leading consultants for the agro-processing business in the country, who shared practical experiences on the problems created by competitive advantage through corruption.
Coordinator of the Erasmus+ project "With Digitalization against Corruption" is EPEKA ME, whereas the Institute for Applied Business Research is one of the 13 partner organizations.
