The monograph "Circular Economy: Current State and Challenges for Macedonian Companies" examines the shift from the linear "take, use, dispose" economy to a circular "make, (re)use, recycle" model. The authors explain the concept and key principles of the circular economy, the business models and practices that drive it, and the indicators used to measure how circular an economy is.
Because waste management is the most widely used circular practice, the book analyses waste management practices in the European Union in depth and reviews approaches for optimising waste management systems. An empirical study carried out for the book shows how far Macedonian companies have come in applying circular practices and which factors shape consumers' decisions.
