The Institute for Applied Research for Business successfully implemented a series of workshops with students as part of the Erasmus+ project "Empathy in the Digital Age: Harnessing Technology for Understanding and Connection (DigiEmpathy)". The workshops were conducted in three primary schools in Skopje - Kiril Pejcinovic Primary School, Partenija Zografski Primary School, and Vera Ciriviri - Trena Primary School, which are involved in the project as associated partners.
Through creative, interactive and educational activities, students from different grades had the opportunity to develop their digital, communication and social skills, with a particular focus on the importance of empathy in the digital age. During the workshops, they discussed the value of kindness, mutual respect and understanding, created stories about support and cooperation, and participated in activities aimed at recognizing and understanding their own emotions as well as the emotions of others.
The workshops fostered open communication, creative thinking, and positive relationships, helping students develop a greater awareness that empathy, kindness, and respect are values that are equally important in both the real and digital worlds.
More than 150 students participated in the activities and received certificates recognizing their successful completion of the workshops.
The Institute for Applied Research for Business expresses its sincere gratitude to the participating schools, teachers, and students for their excellent cooperation and commitment throughout the implementation of the project activities.
The project "Empathy in the Digital Age: Harnessing Technology for Understanding and Connection (DigiEmpathy)" is coordinated by the Institute for Applied Research for Business and the project partners are Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (Greece), Samsun Provincial Directorate of National Education (Türkiye), Secondary Medical School and Higher Vocational School of Health Care, Plzeň (Czech Republic), Kızılcahamam Anatolian High School (Türkiye), and Aplicaproposta LDA (Portugal).
