The Institute for Applied Research for Business, in partnership with organizations from 14 countries, has started the implementation of the project Digital VS Corrupt: Fighting corruption in the Western Balkans.

At the kick-off meeting of the project in Ljubljana (31.01 – 03.02. 2024), the project partners agreed that: "The corruption is a social problem and one of the biggest threats to both, the rule of law and economic development, globally. As the corruption is particularly present in the countries of the Western Balkans it makes this region very sensitive so we need to speak openly, exchange experiences and share good practices for fighting against corruption.

The goal of the project is to bring European values and standards closer to the countries of the Western Balkans and at the same time raise awareness among people, especially the young ones, in the EU and the countries of the Western Balkans, about the necessity for a proactive approach in the fight against corruption. Together we are stronger and every step in this direction is important!"

The project is financially supported by EECEA (the European Education and Culture Executive Agency).
