The Institute for Applied Business Research is coordinator of the Erasmus+ project "Empathy in the Digital Age: Harnessing Technology for Understanding and Connection (DigiEmpathy)", under the Key Action 2 (field of school education).

The project started on November 1, 2024 and aims to contribute to strengthening empathy among students aged 8 to 16. The current project activities include development and publication of a Guide with strategies and best practices for strengthening empathy and pilot testing of the created strategies. The Guide is written in six languages (English, Macedonian, Greek, Turkish, Czech and Portuguese) and is primarily intended to strengthen the capacities of teachers and educators in terms of modalities for applying strategies and practices with the ultimate goal of fostering empathy in students. Pilot testing of empathy strategies and raising awareness and practicing empathy among students is being carried out in several schools in each of the partner countries.

In addition to the selected schools, which as associated partner organizations are directly involved in some of the project activities, in March, more than 300 teachers from our country, participants in the professional development trainings for teachers organized by the Institute, were introduced to the goals, activities and expected results of the DigiEmpathy project.

This project represents a significant step towards improving the social and emotional intelligence of young people, through the use of modern technologies and educational strategies.
